Hey, everyone!

My name is Courtney Holsen. You can call me Coco, Court, Courtney or whatever floats your boat :D I have lived in California my whole life, specifically the San Francisco area, but I moved to Chico for college in the fall. I’m a freshman at Chico State majoring in Health Education. I play soccer on the club team at my school and I love it! I also love running outdoors, yoga, volleyball, and pretty much anything active. I just started taking poetry at my school, so I’ve grown quite fond of writing lately. I also love taking photos, videos, painting and sketching. I love that God is such an artist and sometimes I have to step back and look at the amazing art piece he has surrounded us with. I love fruit, dark chocolate and orange juice. I’m still a huge Disney fan and I love Romance and Comedies. Elf is my favorite movie of all time and I’ve seen it at least 200 times. I love the beach, forests, hiking, adventuring, coffee shops, making people smile, and giving/receiving huge hugs. I like when people are honest and say exactly what they feel. I like going deep with people and understanding what makes them happy and feel loved. I love finding out what inspires people, as well as, discovering passions God has placed in me.

I have never been on a mission trip before, but I am so excited for all that God has in store for me and the whole group! I’m nervous about being out of my comfort zone, but I’m stoked for God to reveal new things to me through the diverse circumstances. I’m ready to bring my dependency upon the Lord to totally new levels. God is going to work miracles through us and in us and I cannot wait for all that he is going to through during this adventure!
