Hey so my name is Katherine Smith, I go by Katherine or Kat..not katie or kathy lol. 

I am from Seattle, Washington and have lived there my whole life, and loove it so much. Right now I live in Spokane, Washington like 5 hours east of Seattle. I am a freshman at a small liberal arts presbyterian University...called Whitworth University. I don't know what I want to major in yet, so yeah thats that ha. 

I dont have a job right now but when I am home I work for a catering company. I have always wanted to be an event coordinator so i really like working there, and since 3 of my best friends work there too I have a lot of funny stories from the job.

I also was a nanny last summer for a one year old boy and 4 year old girl, that was great too, i really liked spending my summer with them, i love being with kids.

I like everything, like seriously im always down to do anything.

I played 3 sports in highschool, volleyball, basketball and softball. My favorite is softball :)

I also danced for 13 years, ballet, tap, and jazz and I miss it alot and wish that i could have dance and played sports.

I really like riding bikes and rollerblading on the beach, if i could i would do that everyday of my life.

I ski and snowboard and wish i had a better car for driving in the snow so i could go up more. I also am a huge fan of camping..and fires thats another thing i wish i could do is have a bonfire every night. 

I just started leading Wyldlife...Youglife for middle schoolers, Younglife is an organization where college students reach out to kids who usually would have no other way of hearing about Jesus, its kind of hard to explain so i'll save that for another time lol. But I think Younglife is soo great and one of the best things in my life that makes me soooooo happy. It is also one of the most FUN things ever. 

Some random things about me....

I have one sister, who is a senior in highschool, her best friend and my best friend are cousins.

I have been to 17 states and over 20 countries, mostly on cruises with my grandparents and sister.

My dad is half Puerto Rican and people dont believe me because I am blond with blue eyes.

I am a really really quiet person. It's hard for me to put myself out there.

I like music, alot of different kinds, my fav is like alternative indie type stuff...and classic rock i love classic rock it puts me in a great mood.

Sun puts me in a great mood too, being from seattle i appreciate sun soo much ha. 

I have been on one mission trip, to Tijuana, Mexico for one week. I went with my friends church for my senior project. We built two houses and also led a vbs for the kids in the neighborhood, i love the kids and hope to find a job where i can work with kids.

I am soo ready for this trip, I have traveled a lot but it is always on cruises...which is like the total opposite of a mission trip.

I am soo excited for this trip and i feel like it hasn't even hit me yet.

I was looking online to go somewhere with my best friend for a week, next thing i know i applied to go alone for 2 months. Everything kind of fell into place, but i was still kinda scared because i knew nothing about AIM. The same day i decided to commit i had to turn down working at a camp this summer.With my school I went to the camp to work, and i was bummed that i wouldn't be working there this summer, but by Gods grace he put me in a cabin with the only girl who was not from my school, turns out she went on an AIM trip and it just totally reassured me that I was doing the right thing and made me so exited for my summer. 

I cannot wait!!!!!!! to meet everyone and just have friends for pretty much the first time who love God and want to serve Him.
