The past two weeks have just been a great testimony to how great God´s power is. While a lot of the time has been spent hoeing in the gardens, working in the kitchen, and loving on the kids, we have also spent time just leaning on and learning to listen to God. And, I definitely feel closer to him than ever. Towards the beginning of the week, one of the women that works in the kitchen approached us, asking if we would join in fasting - praying for finances that were desparately needed. We readily said Yes. While there were moments in the day that we felt discouraged and tired, we stayed strong, and prayed that Jesus would strengthen us when we started getting hungry. And, at about two hours after we would have eaten lunch, Helen, the woman who runs the orphanage, announced that the money had come in full.  God has been showing up both in big ways like this, and in little ones, like getting a hug from some of the rowdier first grade boys or taking a break in the hammocks with the kids after a long day of work. And, it is both these big and little God moments that make me love being here in Nicaragua more and more.
