Hey all! My name is Hayley :) I was born and raised in Overland Park,

KS which is a suburb of Kansas City. I currently live in Parkville,

Missouri where I go to school at Park University and am studying

Elementary Education. I am currently a sophomore and will be starting

practicums in the fall of 2012. I work at an after school care with

about 30 kids everyday after school and a couple of weekends a month I

babysit for family friends to get some easy cash. I am absolutely crazy about kids and love being surrounded by all the energy and smiles they give off.

I enjoy doing most everything involving people. Whether its hanging

out at a coffeehouse, playing board games, or just watching a movie; I

totally love being around people and thrive off of my friendships. I

have always loved basketball and I am a DIE HARD Kansas basketball

fan! I also really love baking; brownies, cupcakes, cookies- is sooooo good. Me and my friends love to hang out

Well automatically I will state that I despise mushrooms, so gross. I have the wonderful talent of being able to pick my nose with my tongue (yeah, I realize thats nasty but I have made friends with so many kids because of that dumb talent haha). I can play a little of the acoustic guitar, basically just Taylor Swift songs because they are all the same 4 chords, but me and my friends love pulling it out and jamming sometimes.

I have been on several mission trips in my life, most of them in the United States and one just over the border into Mexico- all have been with my youthgroup. We went to NYC to do basketball camps, VBS, and serve the homeless, to share the gospel with the people. We also did VBS with small churches in Texas in the backyards of the families of the church as well as at the church. In Mexico we did work building an orphange for 30 children. I have also done work with the Inner City kids in Kansas City, we did basketball camps and devotions with them.

I am SO SO SO excited to go to Nicaragua. My relationship with the Lord has taken off this past year and I cant wait to serve our Jesus this summer. I have heard about the sweet people of Nicaragua and I know it will be such an eye opening and rewarding experience for our entire team. I cant wait to spend everyday serving with all of you who also have a heart to serve and love on the children and adults we are going to meet this summer!!
